The houston High school ethics bowl

 ABOUT

Every February, the Rice Philosophy Department hosts the Houston High School Ethics Bowl, a regional competition of the National High School Ethics Bowl. Teams of students from area high schools compete in argument-based analysis of ethical case studies with an emphasis on dialogue and civility among participants. Rice faculty, graduate students, and alumni serve as judges and moderators of the competition. Past participants include The Awty International School, Cinco Ranch High School, The John Cooper High School, the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, St. John’s School, and YES Prep. The winner of the regional bowl is eligible to participate in the National High School Ethics Bowl, held at UNC- Chapel Hill, in North Carolina.

      ARKING is available at several locations close to the Humanities Building: The Founders Court Lot, Lovett Lot, and North Lot. An indoors garage is also available: Central Campus Garage. Those participating and facilitating the event will be reimbursed for  parking.
